Mark established Gryphon Management in 2008 after holding a number of senior management and engineering posts within Network Rail, WS Atkins, Jarvis and British Rail.
Having played a key role in Network Rail, national telecoms policy during 2004 to 2008, Mark wanted to create a truly independent advisory business that could help and support a range of UK rail businesses with technology and station related programmes and strategy.

Dave has served the rail industry for 36 years and has worked predominantly in finance, procurement and strategy roles during this time.
Having spent the last 20 years within the Merseyrail organisation, Dave has held a number of senior management positions including Advisor to the Merseyrail Board, Projects Development Director and Projects and Procurement Director.
In recent years, Dave has spent more time supporting the Abellio/Serco owning group on a more strategic basis in the wider industry and with their bidding effort for new TOC franchises.

John has specialised in railway estate management and development throughout his 36 year career, most recently in the field of stations and depot management. Prior to leaving Network Rail in 2014, John was Head of Stations and Depots, responsible for overall management policy for the entire station and depot estate, including Network Rail’s managed stations. The estate had a turnover in excess of £600m pa.
In this role he also co-chaired with ATOC the National Stations Improvement Programme (NSIP) Board, and was the Network Rail representative on the Stations Commercial Project Fund (SCPF) approvals group.
Prior to this he was Network Rail’s commercial property manager for the LNE/Anglia Route, having previously headed the station and depot management team for Railtrack’s North West Zone. Significant career achievements include:
